Troubleshooting


Problem

Reports are not sent out via email when "Run with advanced options" is used. User tries to send a report via email, however after clicking Ok, the following message will be displayed: CNC-SDS-0335 Error returned from SMTP Server. The error message was: [[EOF]]. The message could not be sent. CNC-DS-0001 The following Delivery Service general error occurred: Error sending message

Symptom

No messages can be sent out from within Cognos Connection.

If users try to send a report using advanced options then choosing " Send report by email", errors will be displayed.

When trace is enabled during this operation, then the following will be seen in the log file:


CNC-SDS-0410 The email message was not sent. Approximately message size: [x KB] The mail server returned this error: [[EOF]]
CNC-SDS-0408 There are email messages waiting to be sent.
CNC-SDS-0335 Error returned from SMTP Server. The error message was:
[[EOF]]. The message could not be sent.

Where x is the file size for the report the user is trying to send out - it varies.
