PQ19848: INVALID KEYWORD MESSAGE WHEN RESOLV.CONF FILE CONTAINS TRACE RESOLVER AND SOCKNOTESTSTOR KEYWORDS

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the C-RTL (EDCORINT) is processing the resolv.conf file
  any keywords that cannot be resolved will result in an invalid
  keyword message if trace resolver is specified.
  -
  The SOCKNOTESTSTOR keyword is not recognized as a valid keyword
  during this processing and therefore an error message is
  produced. Processing continues and since the default is to set
  this value to off (meaning no storage validation), the desired
  effect results.
  -
  Verification Steps:
  1. An invalid keyword message is produced for SOCKNOTESTSTOR
  2. The resolv.conf file contains the statement TRACE RESOLVER
     prior to the SOCKNOTESTSTOR statement
  

Local fix

• Turn off trace resolver or move SOCKNOTESTSTOR prior to the
  trace resolver line in the resolv.conf file.

Problem conclusion

• CODE IS ADDED TO ACCEPT SOCKNOTESTSTOR AND SOCKNOBULKMODE AS
  VALID KEYWORDS.  CODE IS ALSO MODIFIED TO DISPLAY CORRECT
  FILE NAME IN ERROR MESSAGE.
