APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer may intermittently have a problem with an enqueue on a
PDS dataset when the C-FTP server is used (for a put, get,
delete, or rename subfunction).
This normally occurred on a system that was heavily loaded and
would not fail if the C-FTP trace option was envoked (timing
issue).
Enqueue was left on the dataset permanently until the C server
was recycled.

A dequeue on a resource may fail due to non-reentrantqueue on a
code that does the dequeue.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem is fixed by making both the enqueue and dequeue
routines of the CFTP server reentrant.
