Erroneous "The transaction amount is zero or the intercompany account (type J) is zero" message inside post-import log report

Troubleshooting


Problem

User is trying to export data from one Controller database (source), and (afterwards) import it into a second/different database (target). After performing the database import (into the target database), a log report appears. Inside the log, there are some errors.

Symptom

User clicks "Transfer - Import Data".


User selects the import file, and clicks 'Run'. After the import has finished, the "Import Ready" screen appears, indicating that there have been several errors.

Therefore the user opens "Log report - Import of IBM Cognos Controller Data". Inside that log there are several entries with the following message:

    The transaction amount is zero or the intercompany account (type J) is zero
