Problem summary

  • Include a 'Preferred' indicator on certain person/prospect
    person evidence types.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR has been addressed in 6.0.5.2:
Person/Prospect evidence types whose legacy data had a primary
indicator have been extended to have an optional preferred
indicator, this includes Addresses, Bank Accounts, Email
Addresses, Identifications and Phone Numbers. A user can choose
which record is primary by selecting the preferred indicator.
Only one active record for a person can be marked as preferred.
If the user does not choose any record as preferred, then the
system will choose one to be primary according to a the
existing algorithm provided. When a user sets the preferred
indicator on evidence in the context of a person, this is set
as the primary on the legacy tables and the preferred indicator
is cleared on any other records of the same type for this
person. When a user sets the preferred indicator on evidence in
the context of a case, they will be prevented from activating
the evidence if the preferred indicator is set on any other
active records of the same type for this person on this case.
