"Subtractive" install of snapshot view support

Troubleshooting


Problem

A "subtractive" installation of snapshot view support renders client unusable.

Symptom

The problem is created by this scenario:

  1. Install the following components:
    • ClearCase® foundation
    • Dynamic views
    • Local views and VOBs.
  2. Modify the installation to remove these components:
    • Dynamic views
    • Local views and VOBs.

Result: Error messages are displayed and the ClearCase® client is rendered unusable.
