IBM Support

Incorrect version information in SiteProtector for Security Network IPS sensors

Troubleshooting

Problem

Users might find that their GX sensors display the incorrect firmware and XPU versions in the SiteProtector Console.

Symptom

The sensor displays the base installed firmware and XPU versions in SiteProtector instead of the currently installed versions.

Example:
  • The sensor's firmware was originally installed at version 4.3 and its original XPU was 31.010.
  • The sensor's current firmware version is 4.6.2 and its current XPU is 36.080.
If the sensor is presenting the problem that is described in this article, it will stop showing its version as 4.6.2 (XPU 36.080) and will instead display 4.3 (XPU 31.010).
