Many workflows and documents have a purge date set 10 years ahead in Sterling B2B Integrator

Troubleshooting


Problem

In IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI), some workflows get purged without any issues but many of them are stuck with a 10 year life span and not purged until 10 years.

Symptom

1. There is mailbox delete service Business Process(BP) scheduled to delete messages older than 2 days from the mailbox in SBI.

2. Below sql query shows that there are messages older than two days in some particular mailboxes.


SELECT PATH , COUNT(DOC_ID) FROM MBX_MESSAGE LEFT OUTER JOIN MBX_MAILBOX on MBX_MESSAGE.MAILBOX_ID = MBX_MAILBOX.MAILBOX_ID WHERE DOC_ID IN (SELECT DOC_ID FROM DOCUMENT WHERE CREATE_TIME < GETDATE() - 2) GROUP BY PATH
