Troubleshooting
Problem
The Tivoli Storage Manager for VMware UI is used to mount a Linux guest backup. A restore point is selected from the Restore window. The mount wizard is used to mount the Linux guest disk(s) to a Linux mount proxy node. The mount fails with ANS3101E.
Symptom
The following errors are logged in the Mount task details in the Tivoli Storage Manager for VMware UI :
ERROR ANS3173E The Linux devices failed to mount correctly.
ERROR ANS3101E The mount operation for virtual machine 'Redhat5TIPs Guest' failed with rc = 6833
ERROR ANS3174E (RC6841) The VM mount failed.
