Summary
For non-Windows installations, IBM embedded WebSphere Application Server contains a privilege escalation. During an install a local user inadvertently can give their write privileges to other users.

CVE-2014-3020
Description: eWAS Version 7.0 contains an install script that simply copies the unzipped eWAS image to a target location. This script, performs chmod commands on the location, as follows:
chmod 766 $installRoot/cloudscape/databases
chmod -R o+rw $installRoot/
chmod -R a+r $installRoot/
chmod -R a+x $installRoot/java/bin/
chmod -R a+x $installRoot/java/jre/bin/
find $installRoot -type f -name '*.sh' -exec chmod a+x {} \;
Customers on non-Windows platforms will have write privileges on their WAS installation given to users in the "others" category.
