APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The I/O timeout value for RPV devices should be set
by PowerHA to be the "config_too_long" interval,
with a maximum of 1800.  However, the comparison
is made on an ASCII basis instead of a numeric
basis, and therefore the maximum value is almost
always chosen.  The logfile "hacmp.out" will show:

  set_client_iotimeout: EVENT_DURATION=180
  set_client_iotimeout: ((0==0))
  set_client_iotimeout: GROUP_DURATION=180
  set_client_iotimeout: ((TOTAL_DURATION=180+180))
  set_client_iotimeout: [[ 360 > 1800 ]]
  set_client_iotimeout: TOTAL_DURATION=1800


The TOTAL_DURATION should have been set to 360.
