Problem
"Error 404. Page not Fount" is displayed after clicking on the document in "View Attachments" when the document name has Chinese characters.
Symptom
You may receive "Error 404. Page not Found." when attempting to view documents that use Chinese characters in the name. If the document does not use Chinese characters then it opens successfully.
Steps followed to replicate the problem:
Step1: Login to Maximo, Go to -> Work Orders -> Work Order Tracking. The Work Order Tracking application then opens up.
Step 2: Now filter for work orders not in Close status, click on any work order record and the work order tab opens up.
Step 3: Click on the Attachments icon and select "Add New File".
Step 4: Browse for a document using Chinese characters and then save the attachment. The record is saved.

Step 5: Click on the attachment icon and then click on the "View Attachment" button. Click on the document name attached in step 4. The 404 Page not found error is displayed.
The document should open up in a new browser window.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 with document not having Chinese characters.
Results : The text document opens up successfully in the browser window.
