Error description

  • If you keep /dev/hd1 open, for example, using a process
and
then run fuser command the output looks like this:
     # fuser /dev/hd1
     /dev/hd1:
This happens even after applying IV16733.

* bos.rte.filesystem below the 6.1.8.16 level.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* The 'fuser' command cannot display the process id that has
* a block device open.
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV41588.
****************************************************************

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A check is corrected so that proc ids which are using block
devices are reported by fuser.
