Error description

  • Customers installing z/OS maintenance to z/OS 1.12 or z/OS 1.13
systems including SPE apars OA35970 (USS) and OA35974 (SAF)
and OEM maintenance to support the new FSACCESS class are
getting:

Spawn error: err=6Fx rsn=4x
Internal error encountered

Function = execl(), program name = '/bin/login', errno = 111
(X'0000006F'), reason code = 00000004, message =
 'EDC5111I Permission denied.'

Errno=6Fx Permission is denied; Reason=EF076015

The FSACCESS class check is a coarse-grain access that may
prevent access to filesystem files, even to uid0 users. Failure
to follow the OEM recommendations or to install all the OEM PTFs
may result in unexpected/unexplained access failures and could
in the worst case even prevent successful omvs initialization.
