Error description

ABEND=S0878,REASON=00000010

The dump shows that Console's code took an abend trying
to get private storage below the line.
An analysis of the VSM data shows that user region storage had
grown to invade the local SQA subpools.  The largest consumer
of storage in the user region below the line had storage
allocated in SP252  Key0.  Several  x'22158' byte areas
were allocated to the TCB/subpool/key. The task is running code
with entrypoint  NDVRC1.

Local fix

  • Customer workaround was to split up the offending batch jobs
to process the work and avoid the S878 abends.
