Error description

  • Customers using DB2 OLAP 8.1 Integration Server on z/OS may
    receive the following DB2 error:
DSNT408I SQLCODE = -104, ERROR: ILLEGAL SYMBOL "".SOME SYMBOLS
THAT MIGHT BE LEGAL ARE: +-AS<IDENTIFIER>
DSNT415I SQLERRP = DSNHPARS SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR
    DSNT416I SQLERRD = 0 0 0 -1 66 0 SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
    DSNT416I SQLERRD = X'0000000' SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
    ERRLOC=1:13:1
The above means that DB2 on OS/390 has converted the new line
and line feed characters incorrectly. To verify that this is
    the case, do the following:
    1. Issue this query in your DB2 subsystem where you store your
    Integration Server catalog:
    SELECT * FROM SYSIBM.SYSSTRINGS WHERE INCCSID=870 AND OUTCCSID=
    1250
where INCCSID is your DB2 subsystem CCSID, and OUTCCSID is the
value from the environment variable DB2OLAP_CLIENT_CODESET
    2. Issue "D UNI,ALL" on the system console
For both operations, if there are no entries for 870 to 1250
(example INCCSID and OUTCCSID above), then it's necessary to
update the unicode system services conversion image which is
described in the DB2 Info APARs II13048 and II13049. These
outline the steps to install Unicode System Services and
customize the conversion image. Moreover, Unicode Services
needs to be setup to deal with Unicode data include CLOB.
LE cannot handle CLOB CCSID conversions.
