Error description

  • AOC/MVS warm start:
    1. Customers must be aware that AOC/MVS uses the NetView
SAVE/RESTORE data base. For this reason, it must be ensured
that if customers have NetView procedures that save and/or
restore global variables that these procdures do not save or
restore and AOF*, CFG* or EHK* variables. This means that any
form of the GLOBALV SAVEC or RESTOREC command that could
possiby affect these varialbles will cause unpredictable
results in AOC/MVS such as AOC initializing as a recycle when
it is an IPL, WTORs incorrect, AOC initializing as an IPL when
    it is a recycle.
    2. ACF MEMBER=xxx,SAVE : Customers should be aware that
after an ACF MEMBER=xxx,SAVE is done, the next warm start of
AOC will cause unpredictable results, such as described in
    point 1.
    3. ACF MEMBER=xxx : It is reiterated here that ACF MEMBER=
command should not be used in production systems, the preferred
way of reloading the AOC control file is a recycle of AOC/MVS.
The ACF MEMBER= command does not rebuild all possible globals.
