Error description

  • Running TSO/E REXX exec fails with MSGCSV003I IRXM01EN MODULE
NOT FOUND and MSGCSV028I jobname... stepname...
    .
When customizing REXX to run on your system, you may change
default parameters that IRXINIT will use to initialize a
language processor environment. You change the default
parameters by re-linking modified copies of the parameter
modules IRXPARMS (MVS), IRXTSPRM (TSO), and IRXISPRM(ISPF).
Sample copies of these modules are provided in SYS1.SAMPLIB
    members TSOREXX1, TSOREXX2, and TSOREXX3.
    .
One of the values that can be changed is the LANGUAGE in which
REXX messages are displayed. In TSO/E 2.1.0 (both XA and ESA)
and TSO/E 2.1.1, this field is a 2-byte character field of AE.
The declaration in the SAMPLIB member is as follows:
    PARMBLOCK_LANGUAGE DC CL2'AE' /* Language is American English*/
    .
TSO/E 2.2 and higher uses a 3-byte field. Possible values are:
    CHS - Simplified Chinese
    CHT - Traditional Chinese
    DAN - Danish
    DEU - German
ENP - US Englis in uppercase
ENU - US English in mixed case
    ESP - Spanish
    FRA - French
    JPN - Japanese
    KOR - Korean
    PTB - Brazilian Portuguese
    .
If you have multiple systems, and copy IRXPARMS, IRXTSPRM, and
    IRXISPRM from a TSO/E 2.2 or higher system to a TSO/E 2.1
system, the message-module name will be built incorrectly and
IRXEMSG will attempt to load an invalid module resulting in
Content Supervisor errors messages: CSV003I and CSV028I for
    modules beginning with IRXM .
    .
At TSO/E 2.1 (2.1.0 and 2.1.1) IRXEMSG dynamicly builds the
    message-module name with:
    - Prefix of IRX
    - 4th character of M for message
    - 2-byte numeric value
    - 2-byte field indicating language
This 2-byte language field is taken directly from the PARMBLOCK
built from IRXPARMS, IRXTSPRM, or IRXISPRM.
    .
It is possible to see MSGCSV003I for module names such as
    IRXM01CH IRXM01DA IRXM01DE IRXM01EN IRXM01ES IRXM01FR
    IRXM01JP IRXM01PT
    .
The numeric value in the 5th and 6th character does not have
    to be 01 or 03.
    .
The last two characters can be any value that is declared in
IRXPARMS, IRXTSPRM, or IRXISPRM. It is not restricted to these
values. REXX processing simply picks up 2 bytes and inserts
    it into the module name.
    .
    To resolve this problem:
Correct the error in IRXPARMS, IRXTSPRM, and IRXISPRM and
re-link as directed in TSO/E REXX REFERENCE (SC28-1883).

Local fix

  • Correct error in IRXPARMS, IRXTSPRM, IRXISPRM and re-link as
directed in TSO/E REXX REFERENCE (SC28-1883)
