Error description

  • CUSTOMER NOTICED THAT VIO DATASETS WERE BEING ALLOCATED TO
REAL STORAGE.  JCL CONTAINED DD STATEMENTS WHICH CODED UNIT=
SYSVIO (REPRESENTING VIO UNIT ) BUT THE ALLOCATIONS WERE GOING
TO SYSALLDA.  THERE WERE MANY TSOUSERS ON THE SYSTEM EACH USING
VIO THUS THE STORAGE IN SYSALLDA WAS EVENTUALLY USED UP.
IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THIS PROBLEM IS A RESULT OF AN
OEM VENDOR PRODUCT MODIFYING THE SCTUTYPE FIELD IN THE SIOT
EARLY ON IN ALLOCATION WHICH RESULTS IN THE REQUEST GOING
TO SYSALLDA.
