Error description

  • IN ORDER TO PRINT USING THE PLOTGPG FUNCTION WITH GIWS 1.01 THE
PRINTER MUST BE SET TO EVEN PARITY AND MUST HAVE PARITY CHECKING
TURNED ON. THIS IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH PCLK WHICH REQUIRES NO
PARITY CHECKING. PCLK USERS WITH ATTACHED PRINTERS/PLOTTERS WHO
INSTALL GIWS AND TRY TO PRINT TO THE SAME ATTACHED DEVICES VIA
PLOTGPG WILL FIND THAT THE PC WILL EITHER HANG OR LOOP.
USERS OF PCLK AND GIWS DESIRING TO USE COMMON PRINTERS FOR BOTH
APPLICATIONS MUST RESET THE PARITY AND PARITY CHECKING SWITCHES
TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE APPLICATION BEING USED PRIOR TO
    SENDING OUTPUT TO THE PRINTER.
