Frequent Guardium KTAP error in syslog

Troubleshooting


Problem

In some circumstances the Infosphere Guardium KTAP module may write memory errors into he UNIX syslog. This particular error is benign and can be safely suppressed with an INI variable.

Symptom

This error will be seen every few minutes in the syslog:

Nov 2 03:10:02 myDBserver ktap_<version#>: [ID 749729 kern.notice] 6281 (v 43245) GUARD-02: gb_put_PDU: Bad address in put_PDU: ffffffff77780014, len 20
