Error description

  • When using the SAN Communications driver between nodes in
a large cluster, the fscsi protocol driver may log errors
indicating it is out of resources.  This may cause SANComm
packets to be dropped and could also delay disk I/O using the
same fscsi driver instance.

a large cluster, the fscsi protocol driver may log errors
indicating it is out of resources.  This may cause SANComm
packets to be dropped and could also delay disk I/O using the
same fscsi driver instance.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modified the SANComm driver to throttle the command queue depth
that it uses based on the number of other nodes in the cluster.
This will reduce the required adapter resources.
