Question
Is it possible to edit the Location field of an Asset?
Cause
It can be observed that an asset's Location field is not able to be modified once it is
initially saved; it becomes read-only; this the expected behavior.
Answer
To change the Location, you must use the Select Action | Move/Modify Assets function to change
the Location.
Also, to modify the Asset Description (not the Location Description), you need the application option of "Change" in addition to the 4 main permissions that you have as administrator (Delete, New, Read, and
Save). In the Security Group application, with Assets highlighted, you can use the bottom section, Options for Assets, to view and verify that this Security Group has the Grant Access box checked for this, and other options that are required.
