Problem
When trying to access a valid URL in Tivoli Integrated Portal web widget it give below error: "Navigation to web page was cancelled"
Symptom
Create a page in TIP and associate a web widget with the page. After this when you try to open a URL (say for eg: http://www.ibm.com) you get below error on the screen:
"Navigation to the web page was cancelled".
Cause
The web page is launched in the web widget. Its not a TIP issue but rather a browser security settings issue.
Resolving The Problem
- Add the URL you want to launch (say www.ibm.com) to trusted zones in the browser.
- Un-check "Enable protected mode" check box.
- Close browser and then try to launch the page.
