Problem
Attempts to update IBM Rational ClearCase and IBM Rational ClearQuest version from version 8.x or earlier to version 8.0.1 or later, fail with an error message about the Motif window system.
Symptom
Previous versions of ClearCase and ClearQuest 8.0.1 for the AIX and HP-UX platforms use the Motif window system, which is not compatible with version 8.0.1 and later. When you update to 8.0.1, the update fails with the following message:
The "IBM Rational SDLC" package group cannot be updated with the "IBM Rational ClearCase - AIX Power" package because the package group uses the "motif" window system and the package requires the "gtk" window system"
