Error description

  • Having a topology of two SM for redundancy, if once SM
goes down, and the other takes over, the new SM LID will not
be updated. This will create that all MAD packets sent to
the SM, will not reach the destination.

goes down, and the other takes over, the new SM LID will not
be updated. This will create that all MAD packets sent to
the SM, will not reach the destination.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Have a timer querying each 10 seconds the port
parameters and compare the current SM LID with the one
stored in the driver information. If they are different,
a rejoin event will be sent to the IB users.
