Error description

  • All LVM commands use mapped files to serialize access to the
VGDA. If some process have an exclusive access to the mapped
file and never closes then lvm commands  will hang forever.

VGDA. If some process have an exclusive access to the mapped
file and never closes then lvm commands  will hang forever.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • If new environment variable is set then wait for 10sec to
get an exclusive access of  mapped file and fail if the
open fails.
