Error description

  • If a ksh script closes file descriptor 0 (stdin), and
then attempts command substitution, it will fail with
the error '0403-005 Cannot create the specified file.'

An example of a script that will show this behavior is
this:

#!/usr/bin/ksh

exec 0<&-
echo $(echo test)
