  • In a topology with two or more subnet manager, if one SM
goes down, a rejoin event will be sent to the interface.
The interface stops the traffic and tries to join to the
new SM. This could take up to 10 seconds.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The interface does not really to stop the traffic.
It can remain transmitting while it tries to join the SM.
Only new connection will be affecting during that time.
