IT08346: Null pointer Exception is seen during REST(Representational state transfer) call in IBM Systems Director.

Error description

• A REST API call from SCE (Smart Cloud Entry) to ISD (IBM Systems
  Director) to access a resource may result in an error 500 as
  the result of improper handling of a Null value causing a Null
  Pointer Exception.
  This issue can verified if the following Null Pointer exception
  is seen in the IBM Systems director's error logs:

Local fix

• There is no usage change that will avoid this issue
  

Problem summary

• SCE tries to access the resource using a REST API call is
  returning the 500 error. This can happen because the Null value
  is not handled properly which can cause a Null Pointer Exception
  Changes are made in the code to handle the Null Pointer
  Exception and prevent this issue. This issue will be fixed in
  future releases of IBM Systems Director.
