Error description
In the past, IBM System Director (ISD) documentation included information to describe VMControl REST Application Program Interface (API) details for the VMControl System Developer Kit (SDK), but no longer does since the migration to IBM Knowledgecenter. Impact: Missing documentation makes it very difficult to utilize the VMControl SDK.
Local fix
The information is now available at the following link: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/api/content/nl/en- us/SSAV7B_635/com.ibm.director.vim.helps.doc/fqm0_r_vim_web_sdk_ resources.html This web page will allow a download of a zip file that contains the SDK documentation. After downloading and extracting the file, the detailed information for each supported release of VMControl can be derived from the directory com.ibm.vmcontrol.ws.doc/html.
Problem summary
In the past, ISD documentation included information to describe VMControl REST API details for the VMControl SDK, but no longer do from the VMControl Overview section of the document. This documentation will be provided at a later release of the product and be in a form presentable to users and support staff for utilization of the VMControl SDK.
