Cannot connect to 64-bit Access database from TM1 Turbo Integrator

Question & Answer

Question

Trying to connect to a 64-bit MS Access database using Turbo Integrator fails: A 64-bit version of the Microsoft Windows operating system includes the following versions of the Microsoft Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Data Source Administrator tool (Odbcad32.exe): The 32-bit version of the Odbcad32.exe file is located in the %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64 folder. The 64-bit version of the Odbcad32.exe file is located in the %systemdrive%\Windows\System32 folder.

Cause

For the 64-bit version, Microsoft does not, per default, ship any ODBC drivers to connect to the 64-bit version of the JET (MS Access) database (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957570)

Answer

Download the Microsoft Access databse Engine 2010 Redistributable from:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255 and install the 64-bit driver for the MS Access db.

2007 version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23734
