  • IBM Spectrum Protect client version can contain 2 or more digits
in any position of V.R.M.F but mmbackup cannot handle such case.

As a result, mmbackup fails while parsing IBM Spectrum Protect
client version.

version numbers so that customers can run mmbackup with  IBM
Spectrum Protect
client 8.1.10 or similar.

Problem trigger:

Executing mmbackup with  IBM Spectrum Protect client 8.1.10.

Symptom: Component Level Outage
