IJ21335: VIOS commands calling mklv/lquerypv may fail APPLIES TO AIX 7200-04

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• VIOS commands calling mklv/lquerypv may fail in code that
  creates a secure temporary directory.  This may not
  happen
  every time, it depends on data on the stack.
  
  We have seen this affect 'mkrep' and 'alt_root_vg', but
  it could affect any command calling mklv or lquerypv.
  

Local fix

• Perform the operation through oem_setup_env
  

Problem summary

• The issue is with copying strings, can sometimes get invalid
  values in string path depending on what is on the stack.
  

Problem conclusion

• Ensure strings are null terminated
