Problem
IBM DB2 Recovery Expert for Linux, UNIX and Windows uses the IBM Java Runtime Environment (JRE). When security vulnerabilities are discovered in the IBM JRE, the only remediation is to replace the IBM JRE that is installed with DB2 Recovery Expert with a newer version of the IBM JRE that does not contain the vulnerability. This technote describes how to replace the IBM JRE.
