APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • AFM prefetch is ignoring the files with the setattr bit
causing the files not be prefetched
with "mmafmctl prefetch" command. Reading the file
without prefetch works fine. Prefetch the file if the
file is uncached even though dirty/setattr/append bits
are set.

Problem summary


    

  • AFM is unable to prefetch the data if the file metdata
is changed. For example if the user changes the metadata
(ex. chmod) on the uncached file, prefetch skips reading
the file.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixed the code to prefetch the data even though file metdadata
is changed.
