IJ16875: ROHA : IMPROPER HANDLING OF RG WHEN ASYNC RELEASE HANGS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Async release of resources is done by ROHA as
  background process. It can hang when running a command
  and will fail only after a timeout. If a node is
  rebooted when clasyncroha hung, rg acquire after reboot
  gets into config_too_long like below :
   clmanageroha: ERROR: Waited for 360 sec on
    asynchronous release of resources, but still in
    progress. Could not proceed, try again later on.
  
  RG acquire completes after config_timeout of 360 seconds.
  

Local fix

• Clear the ODM after reboot of node when clasyncroha hung
  :

  ODMDIR=/etc/es/objrepos odmchange -o HACMPdynresop
  -q "key=REL_APPS"
  

Problem summary

• If a node is rebooted when clasync roha is going on, post reboot
   rg acquire gets into config_too_long like below : clmanageroha:
   ERROR: Waited for 360 sec on asynchronous release of resources,
   but still in progress. Could not proceed, try again later on.
  RG acquire completes after config_timeout of 360 seconds.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified code to reset the REL_APPS value during node up
