APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • AFM IW mode fileset cannot be converted to SW mode unless
fileset is unlinked and recovery bit is not set.
Semantically both SW and IW modes works similar way for
recovery operations, allow converting the IW mode to SW
mode even though fileset needs recovery and in the
stopped
state.

to single-writer mode without unlinking the fileset.

  • Convert AFM independent-writer mode fileset to single-writer
mode without unlinking the fileset. Fileset unlink requires
application outage.

Work around:
Unlink and convert the fileset mode
