Error description
The pool allocator problem fixed in 7.2 by IJ07297 need to be backported in earlier releases. It doesn't only occur with ASLR, for example the following: MALLOCOPTIONS=pool artexget -r /etc/security/artex/samples /default.xml Will core dump, the stack will look like : Segmentation fault in free_pool_a at 0xd012735c ($t1) 0xd012735c (free_pool_a+0x1c) 7d864a2e lhzx r12,r6,r9 (dbx) where free_pool_a() at 0xd012735c
Local fix
Don't use MALLOCOPTIONS=pool.
Problem summary
argtex comamnd dumps core when using pool malloc allocator
Problem conclusion
avoid pool map calculation for non-pool requests and fall back to yorktown free api.
