Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to start an executable using IBM Rational ClearCase result in the error "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.".
Symptom
An application that is working error free on the local file system fails to start inside the dynamic view.
EXAMPLE
Z:\vobtag>hello.exe
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
