APAR status

Error description

  • netstat gives error as below,

.....    netstat -v
.....

Error opening device: /dev/fscsi0
errno: 0000000d

This happens when IP over the FC device is configured.

Local fix

  • For the IP over FC devices, run fcstat directly such as,

# fcstat fcs0

Problem summary

  • netstat -v command displays "Error opening device: /dev/fscsi0"
when IP over FC device is configured.

Problem conclusion

  • Minor code changes are required to open device in normal mode
to collect statistics.
