  • After issuing a large number of commands that open a
hdisk that is
already open (e.g chdev) the system will eventually start
logging
configuration mismatch errors for each new open attempt.

Problem summary


    

  • CONFIGURATION MISMATCH is logged to system log when vscsi disks
are opened.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • When closing a disk, remove test for last open device when
releasing the devices kernel extension service handle.  Release
the disks kernel extension service handle, if it exists, when
the disk is closing.
