to occur when using an ALUA device (such as IBM N Series) and
the device is doing a controller failover.

  • There is a very small chance for an unexpected disk I/O error
to occur when using an ALUA device (such as IBM N Series) and
the device is doing a controller failover.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modified AIX Active/Active PCM to enhance error handling of
certain PCM generated commands, to ensure that the PCM begins
using the alternate controller before any I/O is allowed to
fail.
