Problem summary

  • System crash with the following stack.
    (1)> f
    pvthread+002300 STACK:
     044543E4 tcp_timers+0007C4 (0000000700000000,
    000000000447BC90 ?? )

     044555CC tcp_slowtimo+00054C ()
     004905E8 pfslowtimo+000128 ()
     00481138 Netintr+0002F8 ()
     00480E00 netisr_thread+000020 ()
     003567D4 threadentry+000094 (??, ??, ??, ??)
     kdb_read_mem no real storage @ FFFFFFFFFFF9470

Problem conclusion

  • Kcid is taken before tcp drops the connection and this
is used later while accounting wpar specific data.
This change in tcp_timer will not access invalid pointer
    and prevents system crash.
