Error description

  • Mksysb restore on a system with large number of disks
takes long time.  Even when we used the variable
ADAPTER_SEARCH_LIST field in the bosinst_data resource.

  • Customer will experience longer install times if there is a
large number of disk attached

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Use ADAPTER_SEARCH_LIST to reduce the amount of time required
to restore a mksysb backup to a system with a large number
of SAN disks.
