Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to run the IBM Rational Robot Image Comparator result in a Just-In-Time (JIT) Debugger screen with error [2648].
Symptom
The full error message is as follows:
Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger
An unhandled win32 exception occured in icsrv32.exe [2648]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-In-Time Debugging can be enabled from Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time.
Check the documentation index for 'Just-In-Time debugging errors' for more information.
The number of [2648] varies.
The following command works.
rtcmpi /baseline "C:\...\MyImageVP.Window Image.base.img"
Steps to reproduce
- Run the following command.
rtcmpi /baseline "C:\...\MyImageVP.Window Image.base.img" /actual
"C:\...\MyImageVP.act8FBS.img"
- Observe the JIT error after the Comparator start comparing.
You can also reproduce the unhandled win32 exception from the XML log through the OpenComparator function.
The baseline contains a mask. When you try to compare baseline and actual with a mask, the error opens.
If you run the image comparator with just the baseline, you do not get an error.
Cause
The cause is unknown.
Resolving The Problem
WORKAROUND
Consider the following steps.
- Open the image comparator with both baseline and actual.
- Click File > Replace Baseline with Actual.
- Save and close.
