Known Limitation: The special character ampersand (&) is not allowed in passwords for IBM Case Manager users

Troubleshooting


Problem

The special character ampersand (&) is not allowed in passwords for users in IBM Case Manager. Passwords that contain the ampersand (&) special character can cause authentication issues. For example, the Export Solution action will fail in the Case Manager administration client.

Symptom

The following error message is displayed in the administration console user interface:


    The solution package for the solution or template could not be created. Use your case management installation and configuration checklist to verify the Content Engine server property values that you entered in the wizard and ensure that the Content Engine server is running.



The following error message is displayed in the administration client log file:
