Missing Maximo 7.x registry on Deployment Engine (DE) after installation

Troubleshooting


Problem

After installing Maximo 7.1 or 7.5 successfully with no fatal errors and listing the content of the Administrative Workstation Deployment Engine (DE) database it will not show any entry for Maximo product

Symptom

You may have a working environment and be able to login to Maximo but you will not be able to install other packages: Interim Fixes (IFix), Fix Pack (FP), Maximo Add-ons, etc

When trying to install IFix, FP, etc your installer will fail issuing the following similar message:

"CTGIN2499E: Maximo base services is not found on the system. The installation program will now exit."
