Troubleshooting
Problem
On RedHat Linux, specifically version 6 and later, the IBM Information Server Operations Console might report status incorrectly for the Operations Console services. The command line tool, DSAppWatcher, reports the services as "running" This issue is seen on engine tiers that are configured to use PAM authentication, or more specifically on servers that have the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) running.
Symptom
The DataStage Operations Console interface reports that the AppWatcher, EngMonApp, ResMonApp and ODBQueryApp services are not running. However, the services are running. You can confirm status by running the command line utility DSAppWatcher.
