Error description

  • The network switch may continue to send over a broken
link in EtherChannel when the LACPDUs in the opposite
direction can pass the link.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The network switch may continue to send traffic over a broken
link in EtherChannel when the LACPDUs can pass from AIX to
switch.
Some switches may keep using broken link to send out network
traffic as long as they receive LACPDUs from partner with
COLLECTING flag.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Turn off COLLECTING bit if state is expired.
